Key Responsibilities Include:

Supports pre-award research administration, which includes: 

• Working with faculty/staff to develop, prepare, and submit grants and contracts in accordance with agency and UW-Madison requirements  
• Reviewing, editing, and approving proposals, budgets, and other agency-required supplementary documents for submission or award setup  
• Collaborating with faculty on uploading and submitting required materials into agency-specific grant systems (NSPIRES, Fastlane, Research.gov, GrantSolutions, Cayuse, etc.) and UW-Madison’s internal proposal routing system, WISPER 
• Acting as a liaison between the PI, department, RSP, and agency as needed  

Effort Coordinator for all of Russell Labs: 

• Contact person for all questions about ECRT and effort reporting  
• Review certified effort and identify any follow-up actions needed such as salary cost transfers or commitment adjustments 
• Process certified effort cards
