- All purchases totaling over $5K will need to be evaluated prior to making spending commitments.
- The limit also includes repeat purchases from the same (non-ShopUW+) vendor within a twelve month period on purchasing cards.
- DO NOT PERSONALLY SIGN PURCHASING AGREEMENTS.
- Only a few people on campus have the authority to sign on behalf of the University.
- You could be held personally liable.
While there are exceptions, such as ShopUW+ items and services available through our contracts, please reach out to Tori or the Russell Labs Financial email in advance.
This includes lab services, publication fees, and purchasing goods.
Even if you are ordering different items, commodity codes are set by Central Purchasing and you are at risk of the orders becoming an illegal and/or serial purchase.
Anything deemed to be an illegal purchase can be rejected by campus and you could be held personally liable.
