Dear Students of Russell Labs,
Please see the message below from University Health Services with regards to National Suicide Prevention Day.
The beginning of the semester can be a stressful time, especially for new students on campus.
If you (or someone you know) are struggling with mental health, remember that there is a plethora of resources and treatment available both on and off campus.

Online Suicide Prevention Training
Did you know – 78% of students would talk to a peer if they were struggling with their mental health?
University Health Services offers online suicide prevention trainings for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students through Recognize, Respond, Refer.
This one-hour online training helps you build skills to prevent suicide and support peers. During Suicide Prevention Month this September, consider taking one hour to build your skills to better support a friend.
Resource Comparison Chart
With so many resources available, it can be hard to keep track of where to go for what. For a comprehensive database of resources both on and off-campus, reference the Resources Comparison Chart Master Doc from the Russell Labs Student Services page on the Russell Labs Hub website. This is a downloadable excel spreadsheet with information that is organized by scope, audience, and category.
For Immediate Crisis
In cases of immediate crisis, please contact the UHS 24-Hour Mental Health Crisis Line 608-265-5600 (Option 9).
